Big Head Taco scored a lengthy interview with Billy from the Fuji Guy that covers all the latest Fujifilm products. Not a lot of new information, but it’s interesting that Billy from Fujifilm is back tracking on the Fujifilm X-Pro2 never being able to do 4k due to heat related issues, since the X-T20 can do 4k without issue. It sound’s like they might add 4k via a firmware update in the future.
For the GFX Fujifilm will release a free program called Fujifilm X Acquire for tethering that will let you import your files into any RAW editor. SuperFine JPEG files are around 25MB, while RAW files are around 110MB and Lossless compressed RAW files are around 50MB. Fujifilm is also hopeful that CaptureOne will Support the GFX in the future. Fujifilm is also open to working with Metabones, which could lead to some amazing adapted possibilities. One more detail revealed is that the sensors refresh rate is 50fps, but the EVF can refresh at 100fps.
