BH was offering $3498.00 in free lenses with the XT-2 body yesterday…did not honor a confirmed order.

    • $3498.00? or $349.80? Either way it doesn’t sound right.

Of course, but their website had every lens Fuji made for the XT-2 in a cascading list and invited me to pick one. They even included a couple of 2 lens kits, the 50-140 and 100-400. What’s a shopper to do? Say no?

        • So it was a bug but you were able to go through with the purchase? Kind of odd. Did you get a confirmation E-mail? I know you can trigger bugs like that in a lot of the online shopping carts out there. They might have thought you were trying to rip them off.

No Louis, No bugs, and I paid with my PayPal account. I have everything printed off, and my confirmation number. It’s their issue. They changed it this morning and refunded me. It’s the way they went about it. By the looks of it they sold many XT-2s last night as they offered the same deal to many now unhappy folks. Fuji USA will be hearing about this no doubt.

          • I’m surprised you didn’t get a gift card or something from them. Generally when retailers mess up they do something. B&H has been very good in my experience. Amazon can be like banging your head against a wall and I never buy from Adorama.

No, I am surprised too because I have bought from them for years. I believe it was because of the scope of the issue that they offered nothing. I in turn will be offering them nothing in the future. They are going to be hearing about this from Fuji no doubt. It’s all self induced, and I believe there’s a right way to handle things. You have to be good to your customers, even more so when you screw up.

that is true 1.7k$ X-t2 + 50-140 and 100-400 for additional 0,00 $ 😀 – I also ordered – after 8 hours or so – they canceled my order without any explanation… when I ordered, those items were “soon to be in stock”…. I wonder what about first ones who got this (when these lenses and cameras were in stock)? their order should be forwarded automatically (no human double check is reasonable in so large companies) to dispatch/shipping department as fully paid – so no need for waiting – dispatch and ship away and go on with next order (time is money) – maybe they got a fuji lenses + X-t2 (in worth of 5k$ for just under 1.7k$ :D)… By the way is there any solution for us (like scanners or softwares) – to scan the biggest retailers for any similar glitches in the future?

Do what I did. Call Fuji USA, review them on Yelp, open a case in the BBB NYC, call NY state consumer affairs, and FTC complaint. Not so much as a reason offered. Arrogance personified! It’s not a typo. The price of the camera never changed! They will not take responsibility and honor their offer on a confirmed order.
