A Young Photographers First Shoot

A daddy daughter combo shot a wedding together for the first time and turned it into an interesting blog post about the experience. The daughter that goes by “The G” shot the wedding completely manually with a Fujifilm X-T1 and X-E1, which is very impressive considering she’s only 9-years-old, dad must be a good teacher. The post includes many keepers and I hope she continues to develop her skills. I think it’s important to support young talent whenever we can.

It is pretty remarkable. I suspect it’ll be something she does for a while, puts away, and then picks up later in life. That happens with a lot of these kinds of things. Even so, the skills she learns with this now will pay off in many ways later.

    • I think many people that are into photography go through this, but she might not since her dad shoots professionally. I have two very young children myself and I hope they are interested in photography when they are older.

I hope my son does as well. He’s certainly photographed enough!

        • My daughters first years were a slide show. My son less so, but enough… I might have over done it.
