Beautiful Photography Documentary About Instant Film, Filmed With Fujifilm X-T2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9oBTwLnwi0

This documentary deserves a lot of attention. Lauren and Rob Lim created an inspirational short film about the power and tangible nature of instant film photography. Over the period of a few day Lauren Lim stopped several strangers on the street with her Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 and Rob Lim documented the experience with his Fujifilm X-T2 camera rig.

They aren’t professional cinematographers, but the results are very impressive and the message is spot on. I would love to do a project like this with an Instax printer, but Fujifilm doesn’t have a wide printer available yet and I feel the regular Instax SP-2 print is a little small.

They even did making of videos. Included below if you’re interested. Read More »

Think Tank Signature 10 & 13

With a firm release date in sight for the Fujifilm GFX 50S I had to commit to buying a bigger bag and I wanted to let readers know that I decided to go with the new Think Tank Signature 13. I have never owned a Think Tank bag before this, but I have heard lots of good things from friends about them so I decided to give their new bag a chance. It’s very similar dimensionally to the Billingham Hadley Pro, which was the bag I was leaning towards because I love their smaller bags, but I wanted to further expand my bag selection.

Of course demonstrating what fits in the Signature 10 using a Fujifilm X-T1 with XF56 1.2 attached along with XF23 1.4, XF16 1.4, XF35 1.4 and XF50-140 2.8 didn’t hurt their marketing pitch to me. Hopefully I can fit a lens or two with my GFX in the Signature 13 along with my EF-X500 and some other accessories. I just wish this bag came as a Signature 15, because I would never edit on a 13-inch laptop.

World’s Fastest Organic CMOS Circuit Realizes Multi-bit Flexible Temperature Sensor

World’s fastest Organic CMOS Circuit Realizes Multi-bit flexible Temperature Sensor

– Evolution as IoT device realizing advanced information management from box unit to individual item –

14th February 2017

FUJIFILM Corporation. Toppan Forms Co., Ltd. Osaka Prefectural Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. JNC Corporation. DENSO CORPORATION. Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd. Japan Electroplating Engineers Co., Ltd. PI CRYSTAL LTD. National University University of Tokyo

The group such as Fujifilm, Toppan Forms, Pai Crystal succeeded in further speeding up and integration of the organic semiconductor CMOS circuit which can be manufactured by printing in the NEDO project, and from the unique ID code and the temperature sensor stored inside the electronic tag It is now possible to greatly expand the amount of information acquired.

The world’s fastest organic CMOS circuit developed this time is all formed on a film substrate, and as a plastic electronic tag with a low cost temperature sensor function realizing IoT (Internet of Things), more advanced logistics management, health care etc. We made great strides towards mass production for a wide range of applications.

In addition, we plan to exhibit this result at the NEDO booth “nano tech 2017” to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 15th to 17th, 2017.

More Fujifilm GFX Nice Video’s Emerge and Maybe an Official Case

Here are a few different perspective on the Nice event held by Fujifilm, but what’s interesting about the video above is how metallic the GFX sounds when opening and closing doors. There is also an English instructor using the Fujifilm EF-X500 in the video after the camera man finishes handling the Fujifilm GFX 50S.

It’s also interesting to note that Fujifilm is transporting the GFX 50S around in the awesome case above. I’m curious if it will be available for sale in the future or if it comes with the GFX.
