Fujifilm X-T2 Firmware 2.1 For Video Review, Fujinon XF80, XF100-400 and More

The Fujifilm X-T2 is ageing quite well thanks to Fujifilm’s firmware updates and firmware 3.00 will be available soon. One of the best aspects of owning a Fujifilm camera is that they continue to support all of their cameras well past their release date until they have maximized the potential of their hardware. Fujifilm frequently makes their aging cameras feel brand new, which is quite unique.

Fujifilm X-A3: Long Exposure, Time Lapse Photography, and More

The Fujifilm X-A3 doesn’t get a lot of attention from enthusiasts, but it is a quite capable camera as the Fujiguys try to prove in the above video. Today the camera rarely gets in the way if you are a skillful photographer and even an entry level camera is capable of producing excellent results. The X-A3 is a great starting point for any one interested in photography and it’s also a good backup camera for those looking for an inexpensive fall back X camera.

Fujifilm X-E3 Review Roundup

If you’re a rangefinder fan than the Fujifilm X-E3 is for you. I always loved the X-E series of cameras and have often wished that Fujifilm would make a camera like it that is comparable to the X-T series of cameras. The Fujifilm X-E3 gives you a lot of bang for your buck, but I wish they would offer a rangefinder style camera with weather sealing similar to the X-T cameras.

Fujifilm GFX 50S: Reviews, Capture One, Samples, and Photography Today

The Fujifilm GFX 50S continues to grow thanks to great third party support, which also helps the Fujifilm X system. The GFX gave Fujifilm access to a lot of professional lighting systems, which have made it even harder for photographers to dismiss the GFX. I find it interesting that many still want a full frame camera from Fujifilm, when the GFX can do almost anything.

Fujifilm is an incredibly transparent company and they have telegraphed almost every one of their products years in advance, including the GFX. If you are looking for a professional camera from Fujifilm the GFX is their flagship camera followed by the X-T2 and third parties have responded to their releases by supporting them fully and enthusiastically. There really isn’t a reason to wait for a full frame camera that’s not going to come.

Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Nikon D850 Final Numbers by Photons to Photos

As predicted Photons to Photos revised their dynamic range numbers upwards for the Nikon D850 and it managed to do quite well against the Fujifilm GFX 50S. At most dynamic ranges the difference is arguably negligible, which is quite surprising. I can’t wait to see some real world high ISO files out of this camera. You can view and manipulate the results here.
