FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) is delighted to announce the launch of the FUJIFILM X-H1, the highest performance mirrorless digital camera in the X Series known for its superior image quality created by Fujifilm’s proprietary color reproduction technology.

The X-H1, with a newly-designed robust and durable body, incorporates a range of extremely useful features that support shooting in various scenarios demanded by professional photographers and videographers. The X-H1 is the first X Series model to include the latest 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS), which has a maximum of 5.5 stops*. The superior image quality with the memory color will be achieved in the various scenes in addition to easy operation. It is also mounted with the flicker reduction mode which enhances the quality of indoor sports photography. In addition, The X-H1 is the first camera in the X Series to include ETERNA mode, a new film simulation mode ideal for shooting movies.

The camera is also compatible with a range of other interchangeable lenses which are scheduled for release later this year. These include the MKX18-55mmT2.9 and MKX50-135mmT2.9 professional cinema lenses incorporating the X mount which are scheduled for release in May 2018. The XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR, a wide aperture single-focus telephoto lens, and XF8-16mmF 2.8 R WR, designed to meet the needs of scenery or landscape photographers are also included, both of which are scheduled for release by the end of 2018. FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) is delighted to announce that a new FUJINON MKX18-55mmT2.9 (MKX18-55mm) and FUJINON MKX50-135mmT2.9 (MKX50-135mm) will be added to the mirrorless digital camera “X Series” interchangeable lens lineup in June 2018. These lenses deliver high optical performance with the lightweight body of approximately 1kg and comfortable operability for professional video shooting. MKX18-55mm and MKX50-135mm are the first full manual cinema lenses to be compatible with the X Series interchangeable lenses. In the 35mm format equivalent, MKX18-55mm covers a focal distance from 27mm to 84mm and MKX50-135mm covers a focal distance from 76mm to 206mm. Combined with X Series’ unique color reproduction technology, MKX lenses further broaden the expression for professional video shooting.

The rapid growth in popularity of movie and video shared on the internet has increased the opportunity for shooting movies with a relatively small budget using digital cameras. FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will release a free firmware update for the FUJIFILM GFX 50S (“GFX 50S”) medium format mirrorless digital camera in March 2018. The update reflects feedback received by professional GFX users with regards to adding new functions. As a result, the firmware updated will add two new functions “Focus Bracketing” and “35mm Format Mode”. The new firmware for accessory will also expand the compatibility for the “H MOUNT ADAPTER G” accessory.

Firmware Version:
FUJIFILM GFX 50S: Ver.3.00

1.Addition of “Focus Bracketing”
The update will enable the photographer to shoot focus distance bracketing up to 999 frames. When the photographer start shooting, the focal location is shifted with each activation of the shutter by the step of focus shift set from 1 to 10.

2.Addition of “35mm Format Mode”
The update will enable the photographer to shoot central 36.0mm x 24.0mm (30.5M) cropped images as both JPEG and RAW files. When using 35mm format adapters, it will be easier to adjust the image size to 35mm format image circle lenses. It will also enable the photographer to use the Fn button for quicker setting changes.

3.“H MOUNT ADAPTER G” new firmware
The firmware update will expand the compatibility for the “H MOUNT ADAPTER G” accessory*.

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will release free firmware updates for the FUJIFILM X-T20 (“X-T20”) X Series mirrorless digital camera. These updates will be released at the beginning of April 2018 and will reflect feedback received by FUJIFILM X Series users with regards to improving usability and adding new functions to the X-T20.

This firmware update will add new support for the “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” software that allows users to connect the camera to a computer via USB cable for developing RAW files in camera. The new firmware will also enhance the AF tracking algorithm for moving subjects, improve third party studio flash controller usability as well as add new functions designed to improve operability.

FUJIFILM X-T20 (Ver.2.00)

1.New AF tracking algorithm for moving subjects
Thanks to the newly developed image recognition algorithm, the update enhances AF-C to track moving subjects twice as fast as previous firmware. In addition, the update also enhances tracking to be able to capture up to 50% smaller moving subjects than before.

2.Enhanced touch screen operation
The firmware update will add some of the touch screen operation features which are currently available on the FUJIFILM X-E3. These touch screen features include:

1)The AutoFocus area can be moved when in focus zoom with flick operation.

2)Pinch-in/out operation in playback mode will be updated to go from full-frame playback to multi-frame playback
(Nine-frame view and Hundred-frame view)

3)Select the frame in multi-frame playback with tap or drag operation or return to full-frame playback by double-tapping

4)Q (Quick) menu selection in Q menu

5)Input character with touch key-board*

3.Support “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”
After connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro. Fast batch processing will also be available. The “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” can be downloaded from the FUJIFILM website for free.

4.Compatible with the newly developed FUJINON XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens
The upgrade will add compatibility for the newly developed FUJINON XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens.

1)MF ring can be used as zoom ring

2)Maintain the lens zoom position during interval shooting

3)Maintain the lens zoom position in playback mode to shorten the startup time for the next shooting

5.Improve radio flash controller usability
The upgrade allows users to shoot with compatible third party studio flash in high speed sync. or TTL mode via their radio controllers.

6.RGB histogram display and highlight warning
If you press the function button in the histogram, RGB histogram and highlight warning (high brightness portion will blink) will be displayed.

7.Enlarged and customizable indicators or information
The upgrade allows users to enlarge indicators and information in the viewfinder and/or LCD monitor. This upgrade will also enable users to customize the location of where the information is shown on the display.

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will release free firmware updates for the FUJIFILM X-A3 (“X-A3”) and FUJIFILM X-A10 (“X-A10”) X Series mirrorless digital camera. These updates will be released at the beginning of March 2018 and will add compatibility with newly announced products and new functions to the X-A3 and X-A10.

This firmware update will provide compatibility with “FUJINON XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OSI PZ” unique additional features when attached to the camera and also a compatibility with “instax SHARE SP-3”. FUJIFILM attempts to continuously upgrade firmware on cameras and lenses in order to provide better user experience and enhance the joy of photography for our customers.

Fujifilm X-H1 Preorders ARE NOW LIVE ON AMAZON! Update Amazon Pulled it Down Hopefully You Got Yours Ordered

The Fujifilm X-H1 can now be preordered from Amazon. Grab them while you can!

Amazon broke some of the links but I was able to fix some. They seem to be aware of their error now, but staying ahead of it and hopefully, nothing gets pulled. If you want an X-H1 on launch day and don’t want to join us tonight this is probably your best chance to lock a camera in for March 1st.

Looks like the Fujinon MK lenses were pulled, but the X-H1 is still listed. Now The X-H1 has been pulled. Hopefully, you guys got some orders in before Amazon pulled the links down. Keep clicking the general search links at the bottom, because you never know.
