MAP Camera 2024 Rankings – Fujifilm #1

MAP Camera posted its 2024 sales rankings and Fujifilm took the two top sales spots with the Fujifilm X-T50 and X100VI while the X-T5 held onto 5th place.

  1. Fujifilm X100VI
  2. Fujifilm X-T50
  3. Sony A7CII
  4. Nikon Zf
  5. Fujifilm X-T5
  6. Nikon Z6III
  7. Sony α7IV
  8. Canon EOS R6 Mark II
  9. Canon EOS R5 Mark II
  10. Nikon Z8

Fujifilm had a very strong 2024 despite cameras like the X100 being hard to find. It appears Fujifilm produced enough X100VI in Asia to surpass its competition. Normally Canon and Sony have better sales and Nikon did quite well rounding out the top ten by holding 3 spots like Fujifilm.

Normally MAP Camera posts sales results on its website, but this year it posted the top 5 sales spots in a video which you can view above if you like.

Godox iM20, iM22, and IA32 Announced

Godox announced two new mini-flashes

Godox IM20 Mini Flash: B&H Photo / Amazon
Compact and powerful, the IM20 Mini Flash from Godox is similar to the IM22 and IM30 mini flashes, but with a smaller square design. Suitable for new photographers seeking an introduction to supplemental lighting, this mini flash is uncomplicated with its simple button controls and hot shoe connection.

With its lightweight design, the IM20 is ideal for traveling. After a 70-minute charge with the flash’s included USB-C cable, the IM20’s built-in lithium battery provides up to 440 full power flashes with a three-second recycling time. A constant green light indicates the flash is ready to fire again. Manually adjust the flash’s output in five steps for greater lighting control. This flash works well for photographers creating close-up environmental portraits or smaller-scale product shots.

Key Features

  • Manual Flash for Various Camera Models
  • 5 Output Levels
  • Up to 440 Full-Power Flashes
  • Recycling Time: 3 Seconds
  • Hot Shoe Mount
  • Power via Built-In 3.8V Lithium Battery
  • Charging Time: 1 Hour, 10 Minutes

Godox IM22 Mini Flash: B&H Photo / Amazon
Small but powerful, the IM22 Mini Flash from Godox is similar to the IM20 and IM30 flashes with a very sleek, small cube design. Ideal for new photographers looking to incorporate supplemental lighting, this mini flash has an uncomplicated design with simple button controls and universal hot shoe connection.

Great for traveling, the IM22 is lightweight and offers five adjustable steps with light indicators for greater lighting control and signals when the flash is ready to fire again. After a 70-minute charge with the flash’s included USB-C cable, the IM22’s built-in 3.8V lithium battery provides up to 440 full power flashes with a three-second recycling time. This flash works well for photographers creating close-up portraits or smaller product shots.

Key Features

  • Manual Flash for Various Camera Models
  • 5 Output Levels of Power
  • Up to 440 Full-Power Flashes
  • Recycling Time: 3 Seconds
  • Universal Hot Shoe Mount
  • Power via Built-In 3.8V Lithium Battery
  • Charging Time: 70 Minutes

Godox IA32 Mini Flash: B&H Photo / Amazon
With vast lighting options in a slim design, the IA32 Mini Flash from Godox is ideal for on-the-go photographers needing a simple lighting solution. Its lightweight design and screen make it easy to transport and use, but its smaller size doesn’t affect its high-quality power. The IA32 offers a guide number of 49.2′ at ISO 100 and 6200K CCT tuning to create a more refined output.

Offering greater lighting abilities than the IM20 and IM22, the IA32 delivers 490 full-power flashes with a quick 2.5-second recycling time. Manually or automatically adjust the flash’s output in eight steps from 1/128 to full power for greater lighting precision. Connect the flash to your camera with its hot shoe adapter or a sync cord to connect to a variety of camera models. With optical S1/S2 modes, connect and trigger multiple flashes at once for customized lighting setups. This flash works well for photographers creating environmental portraits or smaller-scale product photography shoots.

8-Step Power and Optical Modes
With optical S1 and S2 modes, the mini flash can connect to and accompany other lights. Using S1 mode, the flash will simultaneously fire with a main light as soon as it’s triggered. When your camera is programmed for TTL metering, the S2 mode fires two consecutive flashes to produce a properly exposed image. The first flash meters the scene, while the second one illuminates the subject with the correct amount of light.

Simple Connectivity
The IA32 uses two separately available AA batteries, offering up to 490 full-power flashes.

Key Features

  • Manual Flash for Various Camera Models
  • Guide Number: 49.2′ at ISO 100
  • 8 Output Levels: 1/128 to Full

  • Recycling Time: 2.5 Seconds
  • Optical S1/S2 Modes
  • 6200K CCT
  • Hot Shoe Mount and Sync Port
  • Powered via Two AA Batteries
