Camera Grand Prix is held by Camera Journal Press Club (CJPC, Japan), a group of representatives from magazines or websites specializing in photos and cameras. CJPC, established in September 1963, has 10 members from the media as of May 2020. Fringer EF-FX (Pro) II Firmware v1.70 Released For Wildlife and More

A new firmware (v1.70) has been released for Fringer EF-FX Pro II and EF-FX II.

As requested by many users, we finanlly found a Sigma 500/4 OS Sports lens and optimized it. It performs very well on X-Trans IV cameras. A good choice for wild life!

The main improvements of firmware v1.70 include:

Fixed PDAF issues for some lens of the following models: Lens didn’t get recognized by the adapter due to different lens firmware version.
- Tamron SP 15-30/2.8 VC A012
AF performance of following lens has been improved further.
Added following lenses to the tested and optimized lens list:
Introduced smooth video AF for the following lens:
- SIGMA 14-24/2.8 DG HSM Art
Fixed IBIS issues on X-H1 and X-T4:
- ZEISS Planar T* 85mm f/1.4 ZE

Viltrox EF-FX2 Works Well on Fujifilm X-T4

The Fujifilm X-T4 has only been available for a few days now in some regions and weeks in others, but some will wait to see how their accessories work with the new camera system especially lens adapters like the Viltrox EF-FX2 before picking one up. Well, I am happy to report that at least in the video above the affordable Viltrox EF-FX2 seems to be working extremely well.

KIPON Pro ARRI LPL-Mount to GFX is Expensive and KIPON 12mm f/2.8 Super Wide Angle is Still Missing

The Kipon Pro ARRI to GFX adapter was first announced last year, but it was not available at that time. Further, there was a general announcement later last year that Kipon was shipping their PRO adapters, but none of them were in stock at that time or even for a while after. Now the KIPON Pro Lens Mount Adapter for ARRI LPL-Mount Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera is available at B&H Photo as a special order item.

The Kipon 12mm f/2.8 Super Wide Angle was also announced at the same time, but the lens has not become available yet. Maybe Kipon decided to abandon the lens since companies like LAOWA are making great glass at a very affordable price and recent Kipon releases have been expensive.

Fujinon GF50mm f/3.5 vs Fujinon GF63mm f/2.8
