Iridient Developer 3.8 and Iridient X-Transformer 2.6 Released With X-H2 Support

Iridient Developer 3.8 has been released with Fujifilm X-H2 support this is a major update, and you can download a copy here.

3.8 – October 6, 2022 (Major Release)

New Features:
- Support added for RAW and ProRAW images from the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
- Support added for RAW images from the Fujifilm X-H2. Merging of multi-shot pixel shift RAF files is not yet supported.
- Support added for RAW images from the Hasselblad X2D 100C.
- Support added for RAW images from the GoPro HERO11 Black and HERO10 Black.
Improvements:
- Gain map opcode processing now supported for GoPro GPR files.
- Updated DNG color and white balance default metadata to match up with the latest Adobe DNG Converter 14.5 release values.
- Deflate compression libraries updated to latest version (libdeflate 1.14).
- PNG export libraries updated (libpng 1.6.38).
- JPEG export libraries updated to new version (libjpeg-turbo 2.1.4).
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with the RGB curves working space color ICC profile not always being saved to presets when only RGB Curves subset used.
- Fixed an issue where a DNG camera input profile may be saved to a preset file causing the Input Profile to be changed even if the Input Profile selection was disabled when saving the preset.

X-Transformer 2.6 was also released with Fujifilm X-H2 support too, and you can download a copy here.

2.6 – October 6, 2022 (Major Update)

New Features:
- Support added for RAW images from the Fujifilm X-H2. Merging of multi-shot pixel shift RAF files is not yet supported.
Improvements:
- Improved Iridient Standard camera profile for Fujifilm X-H2S.
- Updated camera calibration and DNG color profile information for models newly supported in Adobe’s latest DNG Converter 14.5 update.
- Updated to the latest version of the libjpeg-turbo library (2.1.4).

Fringer NF-FX Firmware v1.70 Released

Venus Optics, the camera lens manufacturer that has been endeavouring to invent unique lenses, is now releasing 2 new cine macro lenses:

1) Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine (Super 35) – Fujifilm X / Sony E/ / Nikon Z / Canon EF-M
2) Laowa 100mm T2.9 2X Ultra Macro APO Cine (Full Frame) – PL / Sony E / Canon EF / Canon RF / L mount

The 2 lenses offer up to an exceptional 2X magnification which can barely be found on the market. Providing cinematographers higher flexibility in shooting subjects of different sizes. With an APO design, the lenses render quality images without chromatic aberration. Greatly reduce the effort for post-editing, especially for macro shots. Both the 65mm and the 100mm have a T2.9 large aperture for not just creating a shallower depth of field, but also good for low light situations. Make ready for professional use, the focusing ring and the step- less aperture ring are all equipped with industrial standard 0.8 mod gear. A 77mm filter thread is on both lenses so the cinematographers can choose between screw-in filters or using matte boxes. The weight of the two lenses is respectively 550g and 957g for 65mm and 100mm. With the competitive price of USD599 for 65mm and USD999 for 100mm, these lenses would be perfect for all sorts of commercials or cine productions.

Up to 2X magnification

The 2:1 magnification is rarely found in the market. It allows cinematographers to capture rich macro details of the subject. Fujifilm is closing out the original Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2 R now that the Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2 R WR MKII is available. The original XF56mm f/1.2 R is a very compact and sharp lens with great bokeh that is light, compact, and sharp and it should not be missed. The only camera that would make me want the Fujinon XF56mm f/1.2 R WR MKII at this time is if I decided to buy the Fujifilm X-H2 or future Fujifilm X-T5.

Updated Laowa 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Shift For GFX Finally Shipping

The updated Laowa 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Shift for GFX was announced in April, and it was supposed to ship in early July, but Laowa Japan just put out information that the lens will be released on October 7th. You can currently get a lens directly from Venus Optics Laowa or B&H Photo, and Adorama should have lenses soon.
