Fujifilm announced firmware 1.20 for the Fujinon GF 80mm f/1.7 R WR. You can read about the update below and download a copy yourself.

Fujifilm updated most of its software for the Fujifilm GFX100 II announcement. Below you can see the changes and where to download them.

FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO Ver.1.20.0
The software update Ver.1.20.0 incorporates the following issue:
Applicable model for the “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” is added.
Applicable model : FUJIFILM GFX100 II
New items, “SHIFT AMOUNT OF T/S LENS” and “ROTATE AMOUNT OF T/S LENS” are added in “Image Information” menu of XRS.
The above shift amount and rotate amount are shown if the photo is taken using GF110mmF5.6 T/S Macro or GF30mmF5.6 T/S.

Fujifilm GFX100II Orders Exceeded Expectations

Almost every camera and lens that Fujifilm has launched since COVID has gotten this kind of treatment. Since Fujifilm’s market share isn’t growing much it makes me wonder if Fujifilm needs to find some new supply chain people. No matter its always good to do better than expected.

Fringer NF-FX II Now Available

The Fringer NF-FX II is now available from B&H Photo and Amazon. Version 2 is an upgrade over the original that adds weather sealing and a smaller size that makes the adapter easier to use with a vertical grip.

CineD: SIRUI Sniper Series f/1.2 AF Lenses For X/E/Z Mount

CineD had a behind-closed-doors interview with SIRUI for a new lens series the SIRUI Sniper series that comes in X/E/Z mount. The lenses will be f/1.2 AF lenses with focal lengths of 23mm, 33mm, and 56mm with two more coming next year.

All of the lenses will take a 58mm front filter thread. They will come in black and white with a white finish that feels and looks like ceramic. They will be very light at around 400g and carbon fiber is used in its construction. The close focus distance of the lenses is 30cm for the 23mm, 40cm for the 33mm, and 60cm for the 56mm.

There is no final pricing at this time for the lenses but the estimated price is around 350 Euros and the lenses will be available in November 2023 individually or as a set. Unfortunately, they are talking about running a crowdfunding campaign for this series on Indigogo, which can be kind of annoying.
