The First Image of Fujifilm Half Frame Leaked

The first image of the Fujifilm Half Frame leaked, and it is certainly an interesting camera. Some cite went through a lot of trouble to cut out this camera and remove the watermarks, but above is the original from weibo. It looks like someone might have grabbed it out of a video that it was left in from the image quality. Kind of funny this leak comes right after I published the first AI image of the camera, which I generated here for fun based on the FCC filings.

What we know

  • Fujifilm Half Frame Camera
  • Dimentions 105.8. 64.3mm
  • 1-inch Sony Sensor now seems confirmed by the lens size
  • 2x crop Factor, so probably 14-25mm lens, but I would venture to guess 17.5mm, which is why I made it 35mm equivalent in my rendering
  • f/2.4 Aperture
  • The Lens has an aperture ring
  • The only dial is for exposure compensation on top
  • Hot shoe on top
  • Flash on the front
  • Vertical LD, which I rendered first here
  • Made in China

This camera looks like a classic 35mm camera from the 80s/90s, and I can not wait to get my hands on the camera.

Updated with a cleaner image also found on Chinese social media.

Fujifilm Half Frame Camera FCC Filings and First Look FF24003

The FCC has some interesting filings for the Fujifilm FF24003 camera, which will be made in China and could be interchangeable or fixed-lens. I generated some images based on the filings, showing what the camera could look like as an interchangeable lens camera with a standard sensor and a 1-inch sensor, but it is likely this camera will be a fixed lens camera in my opinion so that Fujifilm doesn’t have to worry about how lenses perform with the split frame aspect ratio.

The camera will be a little smaller than the Fujifilm X-M5, which is 111.9 x 66.6, and the half-frame camera will be 105.8mm x 64.3mm. The Fujifilm half-frame camera should be a fun camera when it launches with a range-finder-styled layout. The buttons to the right of the LCD make me think that the camera will operate similarly to a digital Instax camera like the evo or LiPlay with some X camera features. If it is priced right, it should sell very well and help convert people to Fujifilm.

P.S. I used 35mm as an equivalency, not the actual focal length of the lens

A Stylish Update in Instant Photography: Fujifilm Introduces instax mini 41™ Instant Camera

VALHALLA, N.Y., April 7, 2025 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Imaging Division, today announced the introduction of its new instax mini 41™ Instant Camera (“mini 41”). Updated with a stylish new look and improved functionality over its predecessor, instax mini 40™, including advancements in parallax correction and automatic flash control.

“Mini 41 is made for image makers who care about both form and function,” said Bing Liem, division president, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “Mini 41 takes everything our consumers loved about mini 40 and levels up with enhanced performance and a modern design update – it’s easy to carry, easy to use, and matches the stylish aesthetic so many of our users bring to their photography.”

Key mini 41 features include:

Automatic Exposure functionality
The Automatic Exposure function automatically senses the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed, optimizing the shutter speed and flash output according to the scene. It allows users to produce high-quality photo prints on-the-spot in a variety of interior or exterior environments.

Close-up Mode with Parallax Correction
Mini 41’s close-up mode features Parallax Correction, which helps center close-up images (including selfies) by adjusting the position of the ‘focus’ mark to the lower left of the frame.

Updated, easily portable design
Building off the classic design elements of its predecessor, the textured, tactile body of mini 41 provides secure, ergonomic grip, and the subtle metallic-like finish and orange color accents add unique design elements to the camera body.

Availability:
Mini 41 joins a fun and versatile lineup of instax™ instant cameras and Smartphone printers. Fujifilm’s instax mini 41™ instant camera will be available for purchase by the end of April 2025.
