Fujifilm released firmware 4.00 for the Fujifilm X-T3 the other day and it brings the cameras AF system up to being onpar with the Fujifilm X-T4. The update brings:
- AF speed comes down from 0.06 to 0.02 seconds for aquiring focus lock
- Updated AF tracking performance that doubles the X-T3 speed to match the X-T4
- The tracking box has also been updated to be like the X-T4 UI
- Face and Eye AF has been improved because the algorythem was rewritten to double the performance in Face and Eye AF modes
- Can now focus down to -7Ev, but requires the XF50mm f/1 to acomplish
- AF range limiter added for photo and video mode
- Change AF focus box size while filming
- Photoratings can be read by third party software
- Focus point can be changed with the joystick during AE lock
