Fujikina NYC 2026 Announced for October 16-18

Fujifilm has announced FUJIKINA NYC 2026, which will take place October 16-18, 2026, in New York City. This is the first Fujikina held in New York since the one-day event at Glass House on September 10, 2022, and at three days it will be the biggest NYC edition yet.

For now, Fujifilm has only shared the dates and the city. The venue, schedule, and ticketing details are promised in the coming months, and registration is expected to open before the event. You can sign up on Fujifilm’s website to be notified when more information is available:

The announcement email Fujifilm circulated leads with “Come for the fun, stay for the community,” framing the event as a celebration for Fujifilm shooters rather than a product showcase.

What to Expect

Fujikina NYC follows this year’s European stops in Copenhagen (May 9-10) and Warsaw (June 12-13) [internal links: your Copenhagen and Warsaw posts], and if those are any indication, attendees can look forward to:

  • Master classes and talks from working photographers (at Copenhagen these had limited capacity and required separate booking on top of entry)
  • Photo walks led by Fujifilm experts, with loaner gear available — Warsaw ran ten of them across two days
  • Photography exhibitions — Copenhagen featured Magnum’s “A World In Color” project digitizing the agency’s Paris color archive
  • Touch-and-try stations with the current X Series and GFX lineup, which today would mean the X-E5, X half, GFX100RF, and the GFX ETERNA 55 cinema camera
  • The free Check & Clean service, where Fujifilm technicians clean, inspect, and update firmware on your gear — limited to one body and one lens per person, so arrive early

Past NYC Fujikina was free to attend, though Copenhagen this year carried a small entrance fee with master classes booked separately, so we will have to wait and see how NYC is structured.

Will There Be an X Summit?

Fujikina and X Summit are separate things — X Summit is where new gear gets announced, while Fujikina is a community festival — and most Fujikina events are not attached to a launch. Copenhagen, Warsaw, London, and Cologne all ran without one, and nothing in the save-the-date materials points to an X Summit in New York either.

That said, Fujifilm has not announced a single new X or GFX camera in the first half of 2026. The Fujifilm X-T6 is rumored for this fall, and October is prime launch season, so I wouldn’t rule anything out between now and October 16. We will update as Fujifilm releases the schedule and venue.
