LT: Voigtlander Nokton 35 mm f/0.9 ASPH Review – Probably Only For Voigtlander Fans

Lenstips published its full review of the Voigtlander Nokton 35 mm f/0.9 and sadly the lens disappoints with the Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 being mentioned as a better lens at a better price point. You can read the full review here or check out the excerpts below:

Pros:

  • very solid, metal barrel,
  • excellent image quality in the frame centre starting from f/1.2,
  • imperceptible longitudinal chromatic aberration,
  • slight lateral chromatic aberration,
  • lack of any serious problems with distortion.

Cons:

  • weak image quality on the edge of the frame near the maximum relative aperture,
  • weak correction of spherical aberration,
  • very high coma,
  • noticeable astigmatism,
  • distinct vignetting,
  • significant focus breathing,
  • unfavourable price/performance ratio.
