Lenstips published its full review of the Voigtlander Nokton 35 mm f/0.9 and sadly the lens disappoints with the Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 being mentioned as a better lens at a better price point. You can read the full review here or check out the excerpts below:
Pros:
- very solid, metal barrel,
- excellent image quality in the frame centre starting from f/1.2,
- imperceptible longitudinal chromatic aberration,
- slight lateral chromatic aberration,
- lack of any serious problems with distortion.
Cons:
- weak image quality on the edge of the frame near the maximum relative aperture,
- weak correction of spherical aberration,
- very high coma,
- noticeable astigmatism,
- distinct vignetting,
- significant focus breathing,
- unfavourable price/performance ratio.
