Fujifilm X-H2 Full Spectrum Conversion and Disassembly Guide

IRrecams.de contacted me a bit ago about a full spectrum conversion they performed on the Fujifilm X-H2. They can perform Infrared, Fullspectrum, or Astro modification for Fujifilm cameras so they are self-promoting, but as you can see from their article they do a very clean conversion. The article can also serve as a very detailed X-H2 disassembly guide if you want to try to repair or convert your camera yourself, but it is not advised.

The Fujifilm X-H2 appears to be a great camera to convert from IRrecams’s article. The camera does not exhibit any kinds of PDAF lines/banding after conversion, the resolution is quite good, and the X-H2 design is all about heat management so it should be great for astrophotography, which is making me reconsider buying one. The only shortcoming seems to be the white balance since the camera doesn’t have enough range to fully white balance the capture in camera, but you can fine-tune the white balance in post.
