Capture One and Luminar Finally Add Apple M1 Support

I’m a big fan of the Apple M1 and I have loved my M1 MBP since purchasing it a few months ago, but I have run into a bit of a wall with only 16GB of ram that I’m hopeful native applications will solve because I doubt I will be able to build a 128GB configuration anytime soon. To be clear I am only running into this wall with non-native apps when dealing with several hundred gigabytes of data, but my Intel Macs don’t have an issue juggling the files and cache with 32 to 128GB of ram, which is probably because the apps are optimized to use cache right.

With Capture One and Luminar now supporting the Apple M1 natively Lightroom Classic seems like the only mainstream application left to be updated that most photographers use. Luminar AI is also adding lots of useful features that are worth checking out. Almost everything is faster on an Apple M1 computer and I rarely have to plug it in with a single charge lasting for up to two days sometimes!

Capture One still has some discounts if you are interested, but hopefully, you grabbed the larger discount the other day for the full version of Capture One Pro. If Luminar is more your speed you can save by using our discount code FUJIADDICT directly.
