Apple M1 Back in Stock With Some Discounts

If you’re looking to pick up an Apple M1 system anytime soon then B&H Photo and Adorama have some in stock. You can also order through Amazon, which shows how many Adorama has, but it is still coming from Adorama. The base configurations are available directly from Amazon though. Some configurations even come with a slight discount.

I am still waiting for my built-to-order configuration to ship from Amazon, but it is worth the wait for me. I continue to be impressed with what I am seeing and reading about the Apple M1 and I will do some benchmarking here when I receive mine using GFX100 files and maybe some 400MP multishop images.

For those that prefer the 16-inch, I highly recommend you wait for it to get an Apple M1 or Apple M1X chip, because the i9 16-inch MacBook Pro I ordered is stupid loud and the battery drains in about 2-3hrs of me using it. I have been a 15-17 inch MBP user for almost 20 years now and this will be my first 13-inch MacBook Pro, but I am looking forward to a laptop I can work on all day using battery power, which the Apple M1 seems more than capable of doing, which is why it continues to sell out. Further even the Macbook Air with M1 inside is a great option for photography and limited video work, but if you do a large export it will perform a little slower than the Macbook Pro since the Pro has a fan inside.
