Fujifilm GFX100 Warranty Extension Program For Shutter Release Lock Issue Details


Fujifilm just reached out to GFX100 owners affected by the shutter release lock issue with information about the extended warranty program. It will be administered by a third party Mack Warranty and we should receive paperwork soon from them. To use your warranty you must retain your original receipt for both the original 12-month warranty and the 12 additional months Fujifilm is now covering.

To our valued FUJIFILM GFX 100 customers that were affected by the GFX 100 side shutter release lock issue:
Thank you for your patience as we addressed the GFX 100 side shutter release lock issue on your built-in, vertical grip.  We understand the inconvenience involved with being without your GFX 100 and having to send in your GFX 100 to us for this repair.  We very much appreciate your cooperation and continued loyalty.

To further show our appreciation, as previously announced, FUJIFILM North America Corporation (“Fujifilm”) will provide (as a courtesy, and at no cost to you) an extension of the original 12 month limited product warranty on your GFX 100 by an additional 12 months, for a total limited warranty of 24 months from your original date of purchase.  The additional 12 month limited warranty will be provided pursuant to our third party extended warranty provider, Mack Warranty.

We understand that information relating to the Mack Warranty provided extended warranty has either already been provided to you directly by Mack Warranty, or will shortly be provided to you, via email.  These materials are provided for your convenient reference.  Please note that your original purchase receipt will be required to make any warranty claim and should be retained, whether in the first 12 months from purchase to Fujifilm, or in the 12 months thereafter, to Mack Warranty.
