Fujifilm GFX 50R vs Fujifilm GFX 50S vs Hasselblad X1D

It’s time for some photoshop approximations of what the Fujifilm GFX 50R could be compared to other medium format cameras on the market. This GFX50R is built to be on the smallest size body that the Fujifilm GFX mount could fit, so even if this isn’t the completely accurate size of the Fujifilm GFX50R it’s something that might be possible size wise in the future if Fujifilm really tries to reduce the size of their GFX bodies to be more in line with Fullframe mirrorless.

  • It’s exactly like the Fujifilm X-E3 but larger, with same button layout, no ISO dial, only shutter and exposure compensation dials
  • No top screen
  • Has a joystick
  • Has a tilting screen
  • Thickness: less than 42mm
  • Weight; less than 800g
  • Price: around $3,600, a second report from China suggests $4,500 (our original rumor was $3,900 to $4,200)
  • There will also be a new pancake lens with an equivalent of 40mm focal length
  • The official announcement is on September 25th
  • Two-axis flip screen
  • Dual SD card slots
