Fujifilm Announces Second Annual Fujifilm Festival To Take Place in Venice, California

FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNUAL FUJIFILM FESTIVAL TO TAKE PLACE IN VENICE, CALIFORNIA
The FUJIFILM Festival 2018 will be an immersive, hands-on photography and videography learning experience; Open to photographers of all skill levels and styles

Valhalla, N.Y., August 6, 2018 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation is pleased to announce the second annual FUJIFILM Festival, which will take place from October 5-7, 2018 in Venice, California.The Festival will be held across various venues in Venice including The Rose Room, Big Red Sun, The Unlikely Florist and Hotel Erwin, with ticket availability strictly limited to just 150.

“The FUJIFILM Festival was created to unite many different people in one inspiring event for the common purpose of learning more about capturing stills and video in an immersive and exciting way,” said Yuji Igarashi, General Manager of the Electronic Imaging Division & Optical Devices Division at FUJIFILM North America Corporation.

This immersive Festival will offer a range of learning experiences including intensive full-day workshops, mini-workshops, elective courses, demonstrations, professional portfolio reviews, and exclusivenetworking opportunities.

“After the successful inaugural launch in 2017, we are very excited to be holding the second annual FUJIFILM Festival this year, as our way of delivering a unique and epic experience directly to photographers,” said Lisa Yang, Product Manager of the Electronic Imaging Division at FUJIFILM North America Corporation.

The FUJIFILM Festival 2018 has been designed for photographers and videographers of varying skill levels and will cover a number of different styles including street, dance, travel, landscape, and lifestyle. Any photographer is welcome to participate—attendees do not have to be current FUJIFILM users. However, attendees interested in learning more about X Series and GFX system cameras and lenses will benefit from the FUJIFILM Festival 2018 Loan Program, which will offer them the chance to borrow and test some of the latest and most coveted FUJIFILM gear.

Learn from Renowned Professionals in Immersive Workshops
On Day One of the FUJIFILM Festival 2018, attendees will enjoy a full-day intensive workshop whererenowned FUJIFILM X-Photographers and industry professionals will provide in-depth, hands-on learning experiences.

Registrants can choose one of five full-day workshops, which include: Exploring Street & Documentary Photography with Xyza Cruz Bacani, an internationally-recognized, award-winning street and documentary photographer and Magnum Foundation 2015 Human Rights Fellow; Photographing the Beauty of Our World with Elia Locardi, an internationally acclaimed travel photographer, videographer, writer and highly-skilled educator; Industrializing Your Video Content with Andrew Primavera and Tehillah De Castro, Andrew is a professional director and producer with MGX Creative, and Tehillah is a talented and innovative director of photography; Wedding and Lifestyle Photography with Michelle Turner, a published author, experienced educator, and one of the top 100 wedding photographers in the USA; and, Capturing the Essence of Movement with Omar Z. Robles, a street photography pioneer whose juxtaposition of the clean lines of dancers against rugged city landscapes has earned him an enormous worldwide following. These workshops will take place from 10:30am to 5:30pm on Friday,October 5, 2018.

Brush Up or Try Something New with Exciting Elective Courses
On Day Two (Saturday October 6, 2018), attendees can choose up to four elective courses. Between 9:30am and 3:30pm the program offers three mini-workshops—which are condensed, 90-minute versions of the intensive workshops offered on Day One – to ensure attendees do not miss out on any area of interest.

From 4:00 to 6:00pm, attendees can choose from one of three options or alternate between all three:learn all the latest best practices for using FUJIFILM gear at the Tips and Tricks with FUJIFILM Expertstutorial; gain insights and feedback from photography industry experts at the Portfolio Review session;or do some valuable networking with FUJIFILM Festival partners at the Partner Hour Showcase.

Participate in a Free Public Photo Walk along Venice Beach Boardwalk
On Day Three (Sunday October 7, 2018), there will be a Public Photo Walk along Venice Beach Boardwalk. It is an open event and free for anyone who attends. The Public Photo Walk offers the opportunity to capture the character, excitement, and charm of this unique location. Experts will be available to provide advice for getting the best out of FUJIFILM gear.

Make the Most of Exclusive FUJIFILM Festival Add-Ons and Extras
At any point throughout the Festival, photographers can take advantage of a range of optional, complimentary add-ons. The Loan Program offers festivalgoers the opportunity to borrow some of the latest FUJIFILM gear, to try out different lens combinations and discover their perfect setup. There will also be Check & Clean services, which allow attendees to drop off up to one X Series or GFX system body and lens combination for inspection and cleaning by Fujifilm experts. In addition, our Print Stationlets photographers create up to three free prints per day of images taken during the Festival. What’s more, there will be Product Demos to teach attendees all about the unique abilities of FUJIFILM cameras and lenses.
