The release of the Fujinon XF 50mm F2 R WR completed the Fujifilm Designer Series and it is a shame the lens hasn’t gotten more attention because reviews have been very positive. Fujifilm should double down on their Designer Series campaign, which they stopped using before the XF 50mm was released to the public. Fujifilm’s F2 lineup is very similar to Leica’s Summicron line, which is very popular, and it would be wise to emulate. Some find Fujifilm’s F2 line a bit small for cameras like the X-T2, but I think it compliments the camera well, even with the handgrip attached.
