Fujifilm is already preparing a firmware update, based on user input, for the Fujifilm GFX 50S according to the interview above. There’s also some interesting discussion about the possibility of Metabones AF adapters for the GFX in the future towards the end. Lets hope it happens since the system was designed from the beginning accept adapted glass. I can’t wait for the first GFX firmware update, which will make an already great camera better. Hopefully Fujifilm will improve autofocus a little bit with the 63mm and battery life when pre-AF is enabled.
Reviews and Samples
mpex-experience – “When I picked it up, it felt like I was holding my old Canon 5D Mark III, only with a tilting EVF (which is so truly amazing by the way)…I was blown away by the latitude I had in shadow and highlight recovery!…this is a camera system that is usable for a wide variety of photography styles including street and whatever my category my astronaut series falls under.”
allanhiga – The Lamborghini of Medium Format? (Probably should have called it the Ferrari of Medium format since they are more reliable) ” This is the camera that will start to democratize medium format the same way the Canon 5D Mark II democratized film making.”
fujifilm.co.nz – Fujifilm New Zealand published Craig Robertson’s Review “I think this camera really will be a game changer especially when all of the six announced lenses are available over the next 12 months or so.”
Camerajabber – “I think it’s absolutely stunning. It’s taking me a little while to work out what I need from it and exactly how I’ll use it, but comparing the results I get from it from my current line-up of Fuji X-series cameras confirms that they are very different beasts.”
fujifilmgfx.id – Looks like Fujifilm might be preparing a new ad campaign
