EOSHD Fuji X-T2 Video Coverage

EOSHD seems excited about the Fujifilm X-T2 being competitive with cameras like the GH4 and future GH5, while surpassing the Sony a6300. Most of the specs in the article are a known, but the analysis is from a videographers perspective.

“The sensor features the X-Trans array and no low-pass filter which is quite evident in the 4K results – they are extremely sharp. More so to my eye than the Sony cameras. You might actually want to tone down the sharpness as much as possible in-camera and in post and use a 180 degree shutter angle for a more natural look.

All the beautiful ergonomic flourishes I enjoyed about the original X-T1 are present here, with the lovely styling, sensible controls and articulated screen. The EVF is again the star of the show being significantly better than any other mirrorless camera at the time of writing that shoots 4K video, apart from one exception – the Leica SL. The EVF on the X-T2 promises a 100fps refresh rate mode, a big improvement over the X-T1.”

How Much Faster/Better is the Fujifilm Instax SP-2?

I really want to get into Instax, but the desire for bigger/higher quality prints usually prevent me from making the purchase. The Fujifilm Instax SP-2 is noticeably better than the SP-1 in every way, which you can see in the video, but I wish it was priced better and used Fuji Wide Instant Color Film.

This Could Be An April Fools Joke

Panpod
The Fujifilm panpod hack, that acts as a groundpod, is a novel solution to an interesting problem. I think laying on the ground with your camera would be safer, because you can stand up quickly or even a tripod that allows you go get close to the ground. This solution looks like an accident waiting to happen. Read More »

CameraStoreTV X-T2 Field Test

Recorded on the Sony a6300 and Fujifilm X-T2, but the Sony kept over heating… The Camera Store TV guys seem to strongly suggest you get the handgrip to maximize the cameras capabilities.

Prerelease X-T2 vs a6300 tracking:
X-T2 gives you more control over how the camera tracks subjects.
Tracked better than the a6300 in some cases.
