FujiAddict has experienced a few outages due to the huge influx of new readers since the launch of the Fujifilm GFX, so if you experience any issues loading our page please try again later. We are looking at moving the site to a better server in the near future to eliminate the hiccups, but in the mean time we are working closely with our provider to minimize downtime. If you want to help us grow use our affiliate links (B&H Photo/Amazon/Adorama) and continue sharing our article with your friends, also check out our Fujifilm GFX Owners Facebook group, which has been growing steadily since it’s launch. The Owners group is very helpful and troll free.

Roundup
London Camera Exchange – “Is the Fujifilm GFX50S a camera I need? No, not for what I normally shoot but is the Fujifilm GFX50S a camera that’s now got me rethinking what I enjoy shooting? Yes. Taking a little time spent capturing landscapes and night scenes while using the Lee Filter system has certainly left me craving more. My only fear is that I will now struggle to achieve the same dynamic range and clarity in images that I have been capturing on the GFX today.”

Huseyintaskin (Translate) – First impressions that include the Fujifilm GFX 50S surviving a dust storm. I included translated and non-translated link because some of the pictures and a video don’t show up in the translated edition.

WexPhotographic – “In short, we left wishing we could take the camera with us. It is incredibly versatile and easy to use.”

Meet the Fujifilm SQ

Photorumors published a photo of the Fujifilm SQ, which is might be the big brother to the Fujifilm SQ10. The thought is that maybe one camera is an all in one, while the other is a traditional Instax camera. Instax Square is certainly shaping up to be an interesting format. Hopefully we will see Instax wide and regular Instax cameras with SD card slots in the future.

Fujifilm GFX 50S: Maximizing Dynamic Range For Landscapes

Lewis Von John put together a tutorial about how to calibrate your light meter specifically for the Fujifilm GFX 50S, to get the shot right the first time. He uses a Sekonic l-758DR light meter and X-Rite ColorChecker to create a profile for his meter, which consists of 3 shots (one normal, one 3 stops under exposed, and one 3 stops over exposed). If you want to shoot landscape with your GFX, owning a light meter like the Sekonic will definitely save you time if you are doing long exposures.

Fujifilm Instax SQ10 = Digital Camera + Instax Camera All-In-One

Fujifilm has confirmed that the Instax SQ10 will be a Digital + Instax Camera kind of… If you’re a longtime reader of the site I once wished that they still made Instax cameras that saved the images to digital storage and Fujifilm’s latest teaser of the SQ10 states that “It’s not the first time Fujifilm combined a digital camera with an Instax Camera. Fujifilm Finepix PR21 (1999) vs Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 (2017).” So maybe dreams do come true…
