Fujifilm GFX Mash Up Videos

Fujifilm released a set of mash up videos showing how the GFX is being used with NOVOFLEX adapters and Wescott LED lighting. The final video is a pretty typical fashion shoot so I am not sure why they called it a mashup. If Fujifilm continues producing these in the future it would be great if some were in English or at least came with English subtitles.

Fujifilm Firmware Updates GFX, X-T2, X-Pro2, X-T20 and X100F

Fujifilm GFX 50S
The firmware update Ver.1.11 from Ver.1.10 incorporates the following issues:

  • 1.The phenomenon is fixed that in the MF mode, repeated halfway shutter pressing can shift the focus point under a specific exposure condition.
  • 2.The phenomenon is fixed that in the AF-S mode, repeated halfway shutter pressing can shift the focus point with SHUTTER AF setting OFF.

Fujikina 2017 September 7, 2017

Fujikina 2017 promises to be an exciting event this year with a few potential announcements expected. We already know lenses like the XF80 and GF45 are coming, but there might be more public details about the GFX roadmap, which we reported here. Fujifilm could also reveal X series cameras along with announcing the Fujifilm X-E3. At this point, Fujifilm is flying high on their many successes and I hope they aren’t taking a breather.

If you have the opportunity to attend, Fujifilm assembled some great workshops by Noriyuki Watanabe, Nakamura Seiichi, Nakamura Seiichi, Shoichi Asaoka and more. I hope to make it to Japan one of these years, but I doubt it will be this year, but you can be sure we will follow all the announcements closely. Be sure to follow Fujiaddict on Facebook and Twitter in addition to our Fujifilm GFX Owners Group and Fujifilm GFX Page. We are also launching groups for every Fujifilm fan because our GFX group has been a great resource for our community and it has remained relatively troll free, unlike others. I hope our new groups remain as cordial as our original GFX Owners Group.

Kipon Electronic Aperture Adapter For Canon EOS For Fujifilm GFX And More

The Kipon Electronic Aperture Adapter for Canon EOS for Fujifilm GFX is now available from Adorama. Kipon also released a Hasselblad adapter with Macro Helicoid feature and Pentax 645 adapter with Macro Helicoid feature.

Fujifilm GFX 50S: Reviews, Lenses, Copyright, And More

Sharing photography online in a way we can all appreciate, but respect is difficult and I came across a fellow GFX photographer that is giving up… Paul Caldwell quit a competing GFX group after a group of trolls didn’t like his new approach to sharing his work. He isn’t the first photographer to have work stolen and he won’t be the last. It’s up to each of us to exercise our rights though… even though I don’t make a living off my work I still have to file a few take down notices a month due to the use of my images (mainly product shots), which can be incredibly annoying. While it can be difficult to get financial recourse if you’re not a lawyer, the DMCA does offer us a lot of protection if you go through Google/Facebook/Instagram/etc… and present the proper evidence.

One of the main reason I do not present images here from our GFX group is that I don’t want a ton of images being indexed on Google without any form of protection. This isn’t really a problem in our private group since google can’t look within the group, but Facebook has its own set of rules and standards you can look into. FujiAddict and our sister sites do our best to respect copyright owners rights to the best of our ability while providing you with the latest Fujifilm specific news.
