Fujifilm X-E3: First Bug Reported and More

It looks like the Fujifilm X-E3 might have a reproducible bug, but we won’t know for sure until more cameras are available for testing. This issue could be similar to the bug found on some GFX camera viewfinders or it could simply be something with the face identification algorithm slowing down the refresh rate of the screen on the X-E3. The bug doesn’t seem to have any serious negative consequences so it is nothing to be overly concerned about at this time. The person that produced the video below seems to be enjoying their camera anyway and has posted a review and settings entry on their blog.

Fujifilm GFX 50S: Portraiture, Nikon D850 vs GFX, Fujinon GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR, and More

The Fujifilm GFX 50S system is growing by leaps and bounds, but there is a lot of competition out there now with the Nikon D850, Hasselblad X1D, Sony a7RII, and soon to be announced Sony a7RIII are options. Yet the GFX 50S is the only camera so easy to shoot that even a child can use it to produce amazing images. I don’t speak a lot about my children on the blogs, but both of them have shot my GFX successfully and when I first received the GFX my youngest was three and he loved getting behind the GFX. The only other professional camera on the market at this time that can distill photography down to the point that even a child can do it is the Leica SL, but it’s still a more complicated camera than the GFX.

Fujifilm X-E3 Shipping and New Promotional Videos For X-E3 and XF80

The first Fujifilm X-E3’s should be in customers hands today. I have received several reports of cameras out for delivery today from various retailers. I can’t wait for everyone to get there hands on them. When the X-T2 was launched with the Pro Processor it was questionable if they would continue their tradition of providing equivalent image quality throughout the range of cameras, but now it’s clear that Fujifilm remains committed to their no-compromise approach to photography. Whether you are buying an entry level camera or flagship you can expect excellent image quality across the entire Fujifilm lineup and the only reason to upgrade or spend more is for additional features.

The Fujinon XF80mm LM OIS WR Macro 1:1 is also looking like a great macro lens and I can’t wait for a GFX 1:1 macro lens to arrive. I am finding it hard not to pull the trigger on this lens since I already have a teleconverter that I can use on it, but I really want to do 1:1 macro with my GFX over X-system. My goal is to condense my X-system as the G-system grows and to primarily shoot zooms on my X cameras and primes on my G camera.

Fujifilm Camera Remote 3.0.0 Released Today

Fujifilm camera remote 3.0.0 now supports the Fujifilm X-E3, but it also separately lists Bluetooth/Wireless support, which hints at future cameras to come. You can download the Fujifilm remote app from the iTunes Store and Google Play Store.
