MEIKE MK-XT2 Pro

The MEIKE MK-XT2 Pro was listed on Amazon.uk a few days ago and should be on the Amazon US site soon. I currently own a similar grip from Meike for my Sony a7RIII and it works great. If the one for Fujifilm is as good then it might become the preferred grip since it adds functionality over the OEM Grip.

Valhalla, N.Y., September 12, 2018 – During IBC2018, the Optical Devices Division of FUJIFILM will officially introduce the latest in its Premier UA Series of UHD 2/3” lenses – the UA46x9.5B and UA46x13.5B. The worldwide introduction signals the continued expansion of the company’s 4K HDR lens range. FUJIFILM Optical Devices Europe will exhibit in Hall 12, Stand B20 during the show, which runsthis week, from September 14-18 at the RAI Amsterdam.

The Premier UA Series is the first series designed specifically for UHD broadcast applications. The UA46x9.5B sports a class-leading 46x zoom ratio and a wide angle from 9.5~437mm (19~874mm w/2x) with an F2.0 aperture. The “Tele” version UA46x13.5B lens also features a class-leading 46x zoom ratio and a telephoto reach from 13.5~621mm (27~1242mm w/2x) with an F2.8 aperture. Both lenses have a total weight of 5.7kg/12.56lbs and length of approximately 345.8mm. Photons to Photos added the Canon EOS R and Nikon Z7 to their signal to noise ratio database. You can manipulate the data here and it’s interesting how well the Fujifilm X-T2 keeps up with the new generation of cameras along with the Fujifilm GFX 50S. The Nikon and Canon data is based on pre-production cameras and might improve later so stay tuned to see how they stack up and how the future Fujifilm X-T3 will compare.
