Incredible Value: Fujifilm X-T2 Now Lowest Price Ever $799

The Fujifilm X-T2 has finally had its price dropped to $799 across the board at B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama so there has never been a better time to buy. If you haven’t sold your X-T2 yet to upgrade to the Fujifilm X-T3 than there no longer is much of a point. Fujifilm even undercut the Fujifilm X-T30 by $100 with this price drop so maybe they will discontinue the X-T2 soon. That being said the Fujifilm X-T2 is still a great camera and it even surpasses the Fujifilm X-T3 at high ISO performance ever so slightly so don’t miss out.

Large Format Premista Cine Lenses Work on GFX100

It turns out my speculation about the Premista lenses and the GFX 100 were well founded because Fujifilm has now confirmed that their new large format Premista cine lenses will cover the GFX100 via PL adapter in the below video. It’s interesting that they began using their large format terminology before the announcement of the GFX100 over super full frame. There are also a few more interesting details which I have listed below:

  • GFX100 uses a true 16-bit sensor
  • up to 5.5 stops of IBIS
  • Cinima4k video in 10-bit internal and external
  • Internal is 400mbps
  • Log/hybrid log gama
  • The camera doesn’t use the full 100MP but it uses the full width of the sensor
  • The image circle is just a hair under 50mm
  • Tilt adapter gives traditional video camera ergonomics
  • Some 35mm size lenses and tilt shifts will cover GFX
  • Premista do cover the GFX
  • Just PL mount for Premista
  • G-Mount lenses will work for video
  • Everyone is surprised about the size of the GFX100
  • Fujifilm is a film company so they know how to get colors right

Fujifilm Launches Black-and-White Film Neopan 100 ACROS II Coming This Fall

FUJIFILM Corporation announced on June 10 the development of the black and white film Neopan 100 ACROS II. It plans to release 35mm size and Brownie size in the fall of 2019. The sale price is undecided.

Sensitivity ISO 100 black and white film. The company ended black-and-white film sales in the autumn of 2018 due to reduced demand and the difficulty of obtaining raw materials, but after receiving strong demand for continued sales mainly from enthusiasts and young people of the SNS generation, It is said that they have been studying for the reopening.

The company developed Acros II by researching substitutes for raw materials that became difficult to obtain and reviewing the manufacturing process to match the new raw materials. Compared with the conventional product “Neopan 100 ACROS”, the gradation of the highlight part is designed to be sharp and it is possible to reproduce three-dimensional gradation.

In addition, the world’s highest level of graininess is realized with the unique “Super Fine-Σ particle technology” (a technology that can control the size and composition of silver particles and improve the print quality of images), emphasizing the contour of the subject with high sharpness. It is characterized by points that can be.
