Fujifilm GFX100RF Has Shipped

The Fujifilm GFX100RF has begun shipping, so congratulations to those who will receive one before the freezes begin. Someone from Japan in our GFX Owners Group posted their first snapshot of a car with one.

Fujifilm Teased The Fujifilm X-Half Frame and I Further Enhanced The Leaked Photo

Fujifilm dropped a teaser for the Fujifilm X-Half Frame camera with the tag line half the size, twice the story. I grabbed the shadow camera for you to look at and brightened it up a little. It looks like the back of the camera might have a subscreen to show the film simulation that goes next to the vertical screen on the back. I think we have a lot of the buttons on the back right, based on the FCC filings we found here. This is certainly going to be a unique classic-style camera that should sell very well, but I wonder how the US release will go if the tariffs aren’t dealt with. Maybe Fujifilm will manufacture it in another country just for the United States.

The Fujifilm X-Half Frame should be announced soon, given the teaser and leaked images of the camera, but shipments might be in the distant future. I really want one to complement my X100, and I hope it comes with a 35-50mm equivalent lens.

Retailers Begin Pausing X-M5, X100VI, and GFX100RF Orders

It seems that retailers have just about sold through their existing stock of X-M5, X100VI, and GFX100RF orders, so they have begun pausing new orders as we reported first here. If you still want to get one of these cameras, Amazon is still taking orders for the GFX100RF in silver, and Adorama is still accepting orders too. B&H Photo still has the X-M5 in silver, and of course, no one has the X100VI.

Other cameras could be paused soon, too along with lenses so if you NEED something get it now B&H Photo / Amazon / Moment / Adorama. Otherwise I would say weather the storm and see what comes of it all, because everythign happening during this genration of cameras will shape generations to come.
