New release of “instax WIDE 400™”
Introducing a wide-format analog instant camera that’s easy to use and simple to operate!
Lever-operated self-timer makes group shots even more exciting
FUJIFILM Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshikazu Goto) will release the instax ™ “Cheki” *1 analog instant camera “instax WIDE 400 ™ ” (hereinafter “WIDE 400”) on July 19, 2024.
The “WIDE 400” is the successor to the “instax WIDE 300 ™ ” released in 2014, and is an analog instant camera that supports “wide format film” that is twice the size of card-sized mini format film. In addition to simple operation that just requires rotating the lens, turning the power on, holding the camera and pressing the shutter button, the new self-timer makes it easy to take group shots and other things, making wide-format Instax prints even more enjoyable.
In addition, a camera case that matches the color of the “WIDE 400” body will also be released at the same time.
Since its launch in 1998, the instant photo system instax ™ , affectionately known as “Cheki ™ ” in Japan , has adopted trends and evolving technologies with the times. In addition to analog instant cameras, the lineup has been expanded to include hybrid instant cameras incorporating digital technology, smartphone printers, and palm-sized cameras. Instax ™ also offers three types of “Cheki ” film: card-sized “mini format film,” “square format film” that takes square photos, and “wide format film” that is twice as wide as mini format film. instax ™ offers a variety of ways to enjoy photography, and is expanding its user base to include not only young women but also men and middle-aged people.
“Wide format film” has a wide shooting range and is ideal for group shots and landscapes. By shooting not only the subject but also the background, you can capture the atmosphere of the scene, so it is a format that is loved by many people across countries and generations. Read More
