Fujifilm Dominates MapCamera Sales Ranking Again

Fujifilm has quite the lineup of cameras this year, but its ability to restock severely limits its camera sales and rankings. The Fujifilm X-E5, X-M5, X-T5, X100VI, and X-Half have all topped sales charts at times and remained as top-selling cameras when there is sufficient stock. This is best exemplified by Fujifilm claiming all three of MAPCamera’s top sales spots this month which you can see below:

The FUJIFILM X-E5, released on August 28th, debuted at number one, beating the second-placed model by more than double the lead. It has continued to garner interest since its announcement in June, and pre-orders finally began on August 18th. Map Camera also received a large number of pre-orders. The kit with the new XF23mm F2.8 R WR lens was particularly popular, quickly surpassing the initial stock and making it impossible to take any further pre-orders. While the body alone was in stock in large quantities, orders continued to increase even after its release, and both the silver and black versions are currently sold out. It’s incredibly popular.

The 445g body features the same back-illuminated 40.2-megapixel sensor and high-speed image processing engine as the higher-end X-T5. It’s also the first XE series camera to feature powerful in-body image stabilization with 5-axis compensation, up to 7.0 stops in the center and 6.0 stops around the edges. While previous XE series models offered the same specs as their higher-end counterparts, they were advertised as being compact and lightweight, giving the impression of being entry-level models in the X series. The new X-E5 boasts a camera top section crafted entirely from precision-machined aluminum, with a focus on texture and rigidity, resulting in a luxurious finish that exudes the dignity of a tool. It’s likely to attract a different fan base than the other X series models. We look forward to seeing what the camera does next.

Coming in second place is the FUJIFILM X Half X-HF1, which had held the top spot for two consecutive months. While sales have decreased since the previous survey, it still holds a respectable second place. The manufacturer’s efforts in response to this trend are also a major factor. Until now, orders for the popular Charcoal Silver color had been unavailable due to a supply shortage, but this issue was resolved in August. This time, sales have far surpassed those of the other two colors. All three colors are currently “in stock.”

Third place was also taken by the FUJIFILM X-M5, with a slight difference from second place. So FUJIFILM has achieved a one-two-three finish. Strong! The X-M5 fell to fifth place last time due to unstable supply, but has risen back to third place. A large number of units arrived in late August. As the release coincided with the X-E5, there were concerns about competition, but in the end, it turned out that the two giants were side by side. There’s also the X half X-HF1, so it’s a three-way battle.

All three models share the common trait of being small and lightweight, but it seems they are targeted at different demographics. The X-E5 is packed with features, making it a great choice for those looking to enjoy serious photography. It could also be used as a secondary camera for higher-end cameras, including those from other manufacturers. The X-M5, on the other hand, is more suited to those looking for more casual photography or those new to SLR cameras. The X-Half X-HF1 is a compact camera, so it’s likely to be owned by younger generations as a fashion statement. Either way, FUJIFILM was the clear winner this time, dominating the top spots with a large lead over the fourth-place models and below.
