DPRTV released their Fujinon GF30mm f/3.5 R WR Review recorded on the GFX100 with the GF30mm. You can watch it above or read the summary below:
- About 24mm equivalent
- The camera is running FW 2.0
- Very compact 510g 1/4 the weight of the Noct
- 58mm filter thread
- Weather sealed
- Chunky Aperture
- Two-step phase makes it easier to understand where your hand is
- No real chromatic aberration and LoCA is well controlled
- 32cm close focus
- Lots of ghosting
- Can even show reflections off the sensor which isn’t the lenses fault but distracting
- Adequate AF performance
- Not the greatest Bokeh
- Very sharp lens especially wide open even to the corners
- At f/5.6 everything is sharp
- Excellent lens at f/5.6
- No nasty surprises
- Can resolve 102MP without issue
- Would balance nicely on the GFX50R
- Latest firmware update added lots of video features
- GF30mm has very little breathing and this entire episode was shot on this lens
- Great compact wide lens for GFX, but you might want to get the 32-64mm instead
- GF30mm is a little better optically than the GF32-64mm
