OL: Fujinon 23mm f/2.8 R WR Review – “Sharp Straight From f/2.8”

Fujinon XF23mm f/2.8 R WR: B&H Photo / Amazon / Moment / Adorama

Optical Limits published its full review of the Fujinon XF23mm F2.8 R WR that was launched alongside the Fujifilm X-E5. You can read the full review here or check out the excerpt below:

…sharp straight from f/2.8, and lateral CAs as well as image distortions are comparatively low. The vignetting is high in untouched files, but auto-correction does a good job with reducing the issue. The sunstar rendering is Ok… bokeh potential… underdeveloped..extremely low weight… very good build quality… weather sealing… stepping motor is conceptually dated

Pro

  • It’s TINY and featherweight
  • Surprisingly sharp

Con

  • Too slow if you are after a pronounced bokeh
  • The native vignetting is on the high side
