FUJIFILM Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshikazu Goto) will release the instax mini Evo Cinema ^{™ (hereinafter referred to as “mini Evo Cinema”), a new model in the instax ™} “Cheki” hybrid instant camera “Evo Series ,” on January 30, 2026.

The “Evo Series” is a hybrid instant camera that allows you to shoot and print your favorite images while viewing the monitor on the back of the camera, as well as create an immersive experience with a variety of effects. The newly released “mini Evo Cinema” can capture video in addition to still images. This instant camera converts video data into a QR code ^{*1 and then turns it into an Instax Print ™} along with still images extracted from the video, allowing you to “hand over” your video. By converting video into Instax Print ^™ , you can not only preserve various moments spent with loved ones, but also easily review the video at any time via the QR code. Another new feature is “Zidial ^™,” which allows you to experience effects inspired by various eras . Choose from 10 Zidial ^™ effects , including “1960,” inspired by 8mm film cameras . Each effect can be adjusted in 10 levels, allowing for a total of 100 different effects. These effects, which capture the unique flavor of each era, allow you to capture extraordinary and special videos and still images, as if you’ve traveled back in time. The camera’s vertical grip style is reminiscent of the Fujica Single-8, an 8mm camera released by Fujifilm in 1965. Its meticulous design and analog operation enhance the enjoyment of shooting and printing. The dedicated app ^*2 allows you to combine and edit recorded videos, and add cinematic opening and closing templates to create even more special videos. Furthermore, the camera’s Direct Print function allows you to print photos from your smartphone . The mini Evo Cinema is a three-in-one ^camera that can not only shoot videos and still images, but also function as a smartphone printer.

You can shoot videos up to 15 seconds long. Simply press and hold the shutter button to record, then release it to pause, allowing you to split your footage into multiple shots. You can instantly view the video you’ve shot on the monitor on the back of the camera, select the scene you want to print, and turn it into an Instax print ^™ with a QR code that you can hand out on the spot. By scanning the QR code with your smartphone, you can play the video with an Instax frame or download the video. Downloaded videos can be easily posted to social media or shared with friends.
