When exploring the infrared sensitivity of various camera sensors, Fujifilm models like the X-T3 show impressive capabilities, detecting infrared light up to 1,200 nm.
Interestingly, frontside and backside illuminated sensors have similar performance, indicating that sensor manufacturing techniques have minimal impact on infrared performance, similarly, sensor size does not play a factor. Noise control and dynamic range are the most important aspects when capturing high-quality infrared images, and the Fujifilm X-T3 and X-A3 do both well especially beyond 1000nm.
