Sigma APS-C Lenses FINALLY Coming to Fujifilm X-Mount?

Not long ago Sigma said they wanted to develop for Fujifilm, but their resources were limited at that time. Now it sounds like they might have freed some resources to start developing lenses for Fujifilm according to one photographer. It’s probably the result of so many asking Sigma to release lenses for X-Mount since Fujifilm has the most professional APS-C system at this time.

16mmF1.4, 30mmF1.4, and 56mmF1.4 have already been released for SONY and OLYMPUS, but they are tailored to EF-M mounts. The rest is Fuji’s XF mount, but this seems to be difficult due to various circumstances. In any case, I was curious that SIGMA started working on Canon’s mirrorless camera lens. – thisistanaka

We have seen a lot of growth from Fujifilm over the past two years and it’s good to see that third parties continue to add support for Fujifilm cameras. Fujifilm has released some their the most interesting mirrorless cameras recently just as Canon and Nikon are joining the format. I think many want to see this develop into a reality because Sigma makes some excellent 3rd party glass, so keep asking Sigma for Fujifilm glass.
