We are finally getting some high quality comparisons between the X-Pro 1 and X-Pro 2. DPReview has updated their Studio Comparison and has [JPEG/RAW/FPS(Focal-Plane Shutter/ES(Electronic Shutter)] available for comparison. In my opinion, the X-Pro 2 RAW looks less processed and little sharper than the X-Pro 1 RAW. I hope DPReview takes the time to explore the differentiation in their full review. The X-Tran sensor is unique, and I would really like to see someone do an in-depth technical comparison between the very first generation 16 megapixel sensor and the new 24 megapixel.
Image Resource has also updated their X-Pro 2 coverage with a real world image gallery that demonstrates a variety of lenses and includes some feed back. They have a pretty good comparison tool that is worth looking at if you aren’t aware of the differences between the X-Pro 1 and X-Pro 2.
Bill Fortney also posted an interesting comparison between the latest revision of the 16 megapixel X-Tran sensor, found in the X-T1, and the Fuji X-Pro 2. His ISO comparison shows an across the board improvement in performance, while his resolution comparison results are less impressive. It seems more Fuji photographers are getting their hands on X-Pro 2’s everyday so, hopefully, we won’t have to wait much longer to experience the camera first hand.
