The Fujifilm EF-X500 will begin shipping on December 12th according to Amazon.com
I am still deciding between the EF-X500/i60A with Air Commander 1/Metz M400. The Fujifilm Flash is compelling because it’s likely to be the most future proof/compatible and I am pretty sure it will work with the Fujifilm GFX 50S at launch, but it uses optical triggers to control remote flashes. The Nissin i60A + Air Commander 1 allows for complete radio wireless control, but HSS isn’t functional yet on the Fujifilm X-T2 with the i60A+Air Commander 1, from my understanding. On the other hand, the Metz M400 is a no nonsense flash with easy firmware upgradability via USB and HSS+TTL.
I think that the Nissin is the best system for photographers by far, but I really want full HSS support without having to send my flashes in for a firmware update, so I might wait a while before buying a flash setup for my Fujifilm X-T2. I hope they implement user upgradability via USB in the future like Metz has with the M400.
