DC.Watch brought us the first images of the new Fujinon XF 23mm F2 WR, XF 50mm F2 R WR, and XF80mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro. Along with coverage of the launch event in japan, but my favorite image from their coverage is the exploded X-T2 seen below.

Visit DC.Watch for coverage of the event and don’t forget to preorder your X-T2 and follow our rolling coverage, because I will be adding to it through the day.

Given how little I will probably ever use my 23 and 35 I may eventually sell the 1.4s and get the f2s for both size and speed. Maybe. It’s hard to give up 1 stop!

    • I already have the 35mm F2 and keep toying with purchasing the 23mm F1.4. I’m hoping they eventually update the 35mm F1.4 so I can have a 16mm, 23mm, 35mm 56mm at F1.4 or faster. I would also like10-24mm F2, 24-70 F2, 70-200 F2.

Generally speaking I like my primes to be F1.4 or faster and my zooms to be F2 constant aperture if possible. Olympus and Sigma are really the two companies that gave F2 zooms a shot and everyone I know that owned them loved them.
