FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) will launch the compact and lightweight FUJIFILM X-T20 in February 2017, complete with APS-C sized 24.3MP X-Trans™ CMOS III* sensor and X-Processor Pro image processing engine. The updated sensor and processor, along with a reworked AF algorithm, boost the camera’s startup time and AF performance, dramatically improving its ability to track moving subjects, while the tilting touchscreen LCD monitor enables users to shoot from a variety of angles with ease. The X-T20 also has enhanced video functionality and is capable of capturing 4K movies with Fujifilm’s popular Film Simulation modes. Join us at Midnight Eastern Standard Time as Fujifilm introduces a new format to the family of the GFX, along with the Fujifilm X100F and X-T20. We will be live blogging continuously for 24-72 hours after the announcements, depending on how much news there is to share, with lots of facts and analysis and zero click bait. Of course, there will be a slight delay as I rush to get my pre-order in with the rest of you, but I will get my pre-order page up quickly so you can help support the site (B&H Photo/Amazon/Adorama). Running a blog represents a huge time investment, but it also takes a lot of gear to be able to help users and to generate content.

FUJIFILM QuickSnap One-Time-Use Camera

The Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop NYC is asking for help to choose new packaging for the Fujifilm QuickSnap One-Time-Use Camera on Facebook. I guess film isn’t dead yet. I really like #1 followed by #2. Maybe it will make a comeback this year. These cameras usually have Superia X-TRA 400 film which is decent. I remember using disposable cameras a lot as a kid and they were a lot of fun. Maybe they will still be around when my kids are ready to experiment with them.

Fujifilm Nissin Air 1 Commander and Flash Review

I’m still flash shopping for my Fujifilm cameras and while I am really attracted to the idea of getting a Fujifilm Nissin Air 1 Commander with Di700A and i60A, it’s highly likely the new Fujifilm EX-F500 flash will fully support the GFX first. I recently contacted Nissin about HSS support and they do intend to add it with the Air 1 Commander, but once again you will have to ship your equipment to them for a firmware update. I’m currently leaning towards purchasing an EX-F500 for the time being and then adding the Nissin kit later when all of my cameras are fully supported including the GFX. Hopefully this will all happen shortly after launch.
