19-150mm

Fujifilm patented a new Fujinon 19-150 f2.8 Cine Lens lens for Super 35 PL mount that could be used on X-mount. It wouldn’t be surprising to see serious video lenses designed for the Fujifilm X-T2 in the near future considering how well it shoots 4k video.

Cactus V6 ii for Fuji X-Pro 2 HSS Setup

If you’re thinking about buying the Cactus V6ii for off camera high speed sync flash for your Fujifilm X-Pro 2 you might want to give this setup video a watch. The setup seems to pretty strait forward for a generic wireless transceiver, but Zed ProMedia can only get their combination to work up to 1/6400th of a second. They also bring up a good point that the new firmware 2.00 coming October 6th could break the Cactus V6ii HSS, but the update to fix it might include Fujifilm X-T2 support. Something to keep in mind.

Fujifilm X-T2: The New 4K King?

_dsc4566
I haven’t perfected a 4k work flow for my Fujifilm X-T2 yet, but Cinema5D’s latest article has moved it up my list of priorities significantly and even includes some settings to get started. I expected the video from the X-T2 to be very good from all that I have read and heard, but not Sony a7SmII beating good.

“The 4K (UHD) image from the Fujfilm X-T2 is nicer and cleaner than that of the Sony a7S II, and outperforms our favourite low cost 4K camera in the rolling shutter test while achieving the same dynamic range rating of 12 usable stops.” – Cinima5D

Which makes me want to run out an buy a Atomos Ninja Flame to do SLog 3 externally, but hopefully I can wait for an internal implementation. Cinima5D has put together a very interesting read for current and aspiring videographers so check it out at Cinima5D.
