Fujifilm XT-2 and The Fujinon XF100-400mm

Peter Delany made a pretty definitive statement about a great piece of Fujinon glass that I think is worth sharing.

“I Will Say It Again
“Best Wildlife Combination For Wildlife Photography
FujiFilm XT-2 And The Fujinon XF100-400mm”
I Have Ever Used”

This very much mirrors my own perspective on this amazing lens. The Fujinon XF100-400mm has no peers at this time and I hope to test it again on my Fujifilm X-T2 in the future. I never enjoyed telephoto photography before testing this lens and it’s one of the few lenses I miss, but can’t justify owning. If you’re a fan of wild life photography you should check out the rest of Peter Delany’s post about this great piece of glass here.

Double Lens Cap Preorder From OpTech For X-Mount

FOPTech
I’m careful about keeping my equipment clean and OP/Tech’s new double lens mount cap system seems like it might help photographers protect their valuable glass. The built in protective O ring should provide a good seal to keep dust/moisture out of your lens mount better than a stock cap and the double sided design could help with switching between lenses quickly if you keep the inside of your bag very clean. The OP/Tech double sided lens mount is currently available for preorder at B&H Photo.

Fujinon XF50 f2 Announced in Fujifilm X-A3 Promo

Fuji Guy videos generally rehash a lot of what we already know, but sometimes they drop new detail for us like that there will be a Fujinon XF 50 f2 that will complete a trio of lenses along side the Fujinon XF 23 and XF 35 f2 lenses, which will now be called the designer series. The new designer series seems a lot like Leica’s Summicron and Summarit line up. Billy also covers the new Fujifilm X-A3 in great detail if it is a camera that interests you, but I thought the new lens announcement was the biggest new detail the video reveals.

Fujifilm Camera Remote Application Updated With Fujifilm X-T2 Support

Fujicameraremove
The same day we broke the news that Fujifilm X-T2 is now final the Fujifilm Camera Remote App has been updated. Maybe the late August shipping date B&H Photo published isn’t overly optimistic for a few Fujifilm X-T2 preorders. Lets hope that retailers don’t sit on any incoming inventory for long before for filling orders.
