DPRTV put together some New Years’ resolutions for the camera companies out there and they played off our Fujifilm X-T +X-H merger rumor from here. I still haven’t heard back about the meeting and it still might not have occurred, but I think most people in the world of photography think that merging the lines would be a good move or even turning the X-H into a more serious video camera like a Sony FS line camera.
It would also be great to get Neopan film simulation and better face/object tracking controls and performance. The only thing I disagree with them about is the retro look/feel. I think many love the retro feel once they get used to it, but cameras like the GFX100 that have modern controls arent as enjoyable to use and can even be confusing/frustrating if you enjoy the classic feel of other Fujifilm cameras. DPRTV’s suggestion that Sony steal Fujfilms color science is also kind of amusing.
