More Trump Tariffs Coming August 1st For South Korea and Japan

Fujifilm has done an exemplary job avoiding price hikes due to tariffs by moving production lines of their most popular cameras to Japan to mitigate the burden of tariffs on this generation of cameras, but now photorumors is reporting that a 25% Trump tariff will be implemented against South Korea and Japan starting August 1st.

Fujifilm might continue doing us all a solid by eating the tariff or figuring out another creative way to not raise prices, but at this point, I would recommend you place any orders if you want to lock in the price of something before August 1st. Thankfully, Fujifilm isn’t as greedy as Sony, because they have seen sales slow dramatically due to tariffs.
