Best Lenses of 2019 by The Art of Photography

Ted Forbs seems to really enjoy Fujinon wide lenses because he often brings up the excellent Fujinon XF16mm f/1.4. So it should come as no surprise that its little brother the XF16mm f/2.8 made his best of 2019 lens list, but more lenses might have been included if Fujifilm did more outreach.

I’m surprised no GFX glass made Ted’s list, but he probably didn’t have many opportunities to use a GFX100 in 2019 with glass released this year. Ted based his picks on Optics, Feature, Price, and Size. All of which Fujifilm excels at, but few are aware of due to limited outreach.

I hope Fujifilm steps up their outreach in 2020 because a lot of there glass belongs on these kinds of lists. Especially with cameras like the X-T3 continuing to drive a large amount of interest.
