A reader sent in a patent Fujifilm filled for a 300mm f/4 and 500mm f/5.6 with a Diffractive optical element (DOE) for APS-C sensor mirrorless cameras. I have the link to the patent, but it is being withheld to prevent copying and I will add it after the inevitable copy without linking. Copied 30 min later here is the patient.
