I have been following the Venus Laowa 9mm f/2.8 closely since the beginning of the year and the first reviews are starting to surface of this lens and so far they are very positive. Jonasraskphotography seems to really enjoy the lens saying it has “great built quality” and “It is really sharp in the 3/4 central part of the frame, but it looses a little bit of sharpness towards the edges.” The Laowa 9mm f/2.8 sounds very impressive indeed for $499 and Jonasrask has a lot of sample photos to convince you if you’re still on the fence.
