Upcoming Special Exhibition in LA

Bowie Unseen by Markus Klinko is moving from Miami to the Mr Musichead Gallery in Los Angeles this month. We covered the opening night of this exhibition in Miami and it was an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend seeing this exhibition if you’re on the west coast. There are quite a few unique shot of Bowie representing a variety of his many personas.

Valhalla, N.Y., May 16, 2016 – As a celebration of the life of the late David Bowie, FUJIFILM North America Corporation today announced its partnership with celebrity photographer and director Markus Klinko for the grand reveal of never-before-seen photos of the cherished, international pop culture legend and fashion icon. The exhibition will be hosted at Markowicz Fine Art, in the Miami Design District, on Thursday, February 25th.

The collection of exclusive photos that will be revealed includes a set of 14 FUJIFILM instant film prints of Bowie taken in 2001, unseen intimate images, and daring shots with the artist. Many of the images were shot using the beloved FUJICHROME PROVIA film and printed on the radiant Fujiflex Crystal Archive Printing Material.

Attendees at the exhibition will be able to meet Klinko at the private Media & VIP Reveal Party on Thursday, February 25th, at the Markowicz Fine Art Gallery from 7-9 p.m. Klinko’s high quality, fine art photographic prints of the late David Bowie will be available for sale exclusively at the event. The photographs are limited editions autographed by the contemporary photographer, and are available in a variety of sizes. After the February 25th event, the exhibition will be open to the public on February 26thuntil mid-March.

Markus Klinko also uses the FUJIFILM X-Pro1 to shoot award winning images, and was one of the first professional photographers to start using the FUJIFILM X-Pro2. Since then, Klinko is featured in an X-Pro2 promotional video; it can be viewed at FUJIFILM X-Pro2 x Markus&Koala. Looking ahead, Fujifilm and Klinko will continue to seek possible photographic collaborations together worldwide.
