The awards are for the branding visual identity of the instax Pal ™ palm-sized camera *1 from the instax  “Cheki” series , including its dedicated app and product packaging, as well as the creation of a simple design that makes use of green gradation lines and white space using Fujifilm’s corporate color, Advanced Green.

The Red Dot Design Award is an international design award established in 1955, and is considered one of the world’s three major design awards, alongside the German iF design award and the American IDEA (International Design Excellence Award). The Red Dot Design Award consists of three categories: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. The Brands & Communication Design category is awarded to outstanding designs in categories such as branding, advertising, packaging, user interface (UI), and user experience (UX).

In particular, instax Pal  received high marks in product design (target: product), user interface design (same: dedicated app), and package graphic design (same: product packaging). This is the first time that an item has been highly evaluated from multiple design perspectives and won awards in three design categories (product design category, user interface and packaging in the Brands & Communication category ) .

In developing all our products and services, we pursue functionality and performance, and we also work on design development that makes the most of those excellent functionality and performance. Going forward, we will continue to aim to create new value for our products by realizing designs that go beyond the beauty of the exterior design and highlight the functionality of each product and service.
